We are located close to the France Switzerland border in the French alpine ski area known as the Portes du Soleil, which connects 12 villages and ski resorts, with 196 lifts and 266 pistes making it one of the largest ski domains in the world.

In the heart of the Abondance valley we offer superb self catered alpine accommodation for skiing and summer holidays. Our home is a traditional farmhouse on the border of Chatel and La Chapelle d'Abondance. Next door, through our garden, we have Chalet Arthur, its 3 bedrooms providing excellent space for up to 8 people and ideal for families. Popular in both summer and winter this chalet is a home from home. It has been awarded 3 stars by the local tourist office, and we continually strive to keep it up to date and well maintained. Many of our clients have been coming to Chalet Arthur for more than 10 years now.

Our second holiday property is a spacious 4 room apartment Iris, the ground floor of an imposing chalet close to the centre of Chatel. With 4 rooms it will accommodate 4 people in great comfort (or 6 with a sofa bed) and was completely renovated in 2010 with a new kitchen bathroom and WC.

In the winter you are in the heart of the Portes du Soleil, one of the largest ski areas in Europe with assured snow throughout a long season. The summers provide a perfect setting for walking, cycling and touring in the alpine scenery of France, Switzerland and Italy. Our 2 properties allow you to choose the quiet of a country chalet or the convenience of village centre living.

For the last 20 years we have enjoyed this region and look forward to sharing it with new and returning guests alike. Although we are offering self catered accommodation we are always ready to provide advice on activities, restaurants, travel etc. If you need help with arrangements we can book ski lessons or guides, arrange equipment, buy your ski passes and book restaurants.
